UK in Cameroon

From human rights to climate change, the British High Commission Yaounde is building partnerships in Cameroon on a range of issues to support prosperity and security for both countries.

The High Commission is part of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's global network of 261 diplomatic posts around the world delivering the UK's vision of a Better world, better Britain.

We deliver migration and consular services and support UK interests in Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic and Gabon.

Cameroon

The British High Commission represents Britain and promotes British interest in Cameroon and the region. The Mission is also responsible for Gabon , Chad and the Central African Republic . Our Visa Section processes visa applications from people in Cameroon and the region wanting to visit Britain and our Consular Section provides consular services and passports to British citizens .
 
Through dialogue with the governments in the region, and support such as funding for training, we work to ensure that internationally accepted norms are met in democratic practice, good governance and respect for human rights. We fully support the Government of Cameroon in the fight against corruption. We work closely with non- governmental organisations (NGOs) in the region and fund a range of projects initiated by them.
