Through dialogue and projects the High Commission works with the Government of Cameroon and civil society to promote democracy, human rights and good governance in Cameroon.

The High Commission provides visa services in Yaounde. Its Consular Section in Yaounde and the Honorary Consul in Douala provides consular services to British nationals in Cameroon. The High Commission also provides certain support to UK commercial interests in Cameroon.

Honorary Consuls in Bangui, (Central African Republic), N’Djamena (Chad) and Libreville (Gabon) provide a network for British nationals in the wider region who need to access emergency consular services.
