The British High Commission staff in Yaounde is made up of UK-based and locally engaged Cameroonian staff.

The High Commissioner is Syd Maddicott (since 2006). Mr Maddicott is also non-resident Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Chad and Gabon.

Deputy High Commissioner, Gillian Edwards, is the Consul and also co-ordinates the work of the Mission.

Second Secretary, Giles Montagnon, is responsible for politica, project and press work.

Vice Consul / Management Officer, Gillian Potter, is responsible for consular work and supervises human resources and estate management.

Projects Manager, Elvis Arrey Ntui, administers projects in the areas of climate change, human rights, democracy and good governance.

Communications Manager, Abel Akara Ticha, manages the High Commission’s media relations.

Communications and Projects Assistant, Kelen Karin Ndzelen, assists in communication and project activities.
