Working with Cameroon

The British High Commission works with the Government of Cameroon and civil society on key issues in the fields of human rights, democracy and climate change.

Although the majority of the UK's development assistance to Cameroon is made through the European Union, the British High Commission co-ordinates a variety of bilateral projects.

The High Commission also awards scholarships and fellowships under the UK’s prestigious Chevening scheme. Scholarships cover the cost of completing a one-year Master's course of the scholar's choice in a British university. Fellowships are awarded on the basis of nominations made by the High Commission of experienced leaders in their respective fields. Fellows participate in tailor-made 3 month courses held in the UK with peers from across the world.
