Through the High Commission, the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office funds a certain number of larger multi-year projects in the fields of democracy and human rights, low carbon / high growth and sustainable development.

Recent projects include a project to help local communities in Cameroon's rainforests to map the location of trees and record incidents of illegal logging using custom designed handheld computers and Global Positioning Satellites. The High Commission is currently working with the Thomson Foundation to deliver a project to support the development of the independent media sector in Cameroon.
