High Commission officials have met four UK-sponsored media trainers to monitor their ongoing projects to train their peers in standard journalism practice.
Out -gone Second Secretary Giles Montagnon, Communications Manager Abel Akara Ticha and Projects Manager Elvis Arrey were recently briefed by trainers from Le Jour, CRTV, Mutations and Sky 1 Radio on developments in their newsrooms since they returned from the UK-sponsored workshop - Training a Cadre of Journalism Trainers in Limbe.

- Le Jour's Jules Romuald Nkonlak has refreshed colleagues from all bureaux f the paper on the circuit of news production. Jules – "Colleagues have been very receptive to the initiative because they actually realised the need. Also my Editor-in-Chief has been encouraging"
- Mutation's Roger Taakam has been systematically addressing colleagues on daily professional gaps and has held training sessions with interns.
- Sky 1's Herve Mfoula has revisited a number of topics with colleagues: the meaning of news, news sources, and selection, ethics and press freedom in Cameroon.
Next Steps
- CRTV's Ephraim Banda and Telesphore Bizo are designing a project to cascade training on colleagues in the 10 regions of Cameroon
